Enitially, you would say herself, as she died of a drug overdose. But what got her there?
Some say it was Andy Warhol, the way he used her for fame and just dropped her. She looked up to him and maybe even saw him as a father figure, ( I can't say this as a fact, but it has been said that her real father raped her from the age of 8) - Maybe she didn't leave the 'Factory' because she felt as though she owed something to Andey because he found her and made her famous.
Others say it was her love affair with Bob Dylan, him leaving her left her unstable, which could have lead to larger drug problems. Bob Dylan didn't even want the film 'Factory Girl to come out because he said it made it look like he was the reason she had died. Also, it was never a fact that Edie and Bob had a sexual relationship, and that Bob had already been secretly married for a couple of months to a woman called Sarah Lownds in 1965.
Edie also had anorexia, and due to this, she had to have an abortion, and that in itself is reason enough to want to die.
At a fashion show in November 1951, Edie was verbally attacked by a guest at the after party, calling her a herion addict amongst many other hurtful words, when Edie and her husband Micheal Post got home, he gave her the pain medication prescribed by her illness (I'm not sure what the illness was.) When he woke up in the morning she had died. It could have been the verbal abuser that pushed her over the edge.
Or maybe it was simply her drug use and those demons catching up on her. No body can be sure, either way it's needless to say, her death was a tragedy, and makes me sad that she isn't alive today. I, along with many other people would have loved to have met her. They say the goodone's die young, but it's never fair.
-All wrote by me, if these words are stolen there will be hell. I have proof that I wrote this.

This is really good! I believe it was a mixture of all the environmental factors and biological. But I suppose thats why I believe in fate. Just as it says in factory girl "I know. My lifeline is broken. I know I won't live past thirty."
I guess maybe it was just written.
